Thank You!

Thank you for your interest in helping provide over 1,000 Altoona Area Elementary students with essential nutrition out of school. One of the most essential volunteer roles in the program is helping to pack food items each week to send home. We can accommodate individuals or groups over the age of 8 (children under the age of 8 are welcome to come but may not be able to participate in packing). Packing is held every Thursday throughout the school year, unless there is no school Friday. in those cases packing nights are the night before the last day of school that week.

Packing begins at the warehouse at 5pm.  Please arrive early, so we are ready to start at 5pm.  The warehouse is the former Butterick Building, 2900 Beale Avenue, Altoona.  We are located at the end of the warehouse closest to 29th Street with a set of docks.  Please enter the door there by the docks.

How to sign Up

To sign yourself or your group up for a packing date simply click on the desired packing day, click SIGN UP link, and complete volunteer form. For groups a volunteer form must be completed for each member of the group (children under 18 please have guardian complete).
