Drive Out Hunger Golf Tournament

Join us for a day of golfing and support providing meals for Altoona Area Elementary Students:

2:00 PM Awards Ceremony & Basket Raffle Drawings

Players will compete in teams of 4. Registration deadline: June 1st, 2023.

While on the course we will provide all players with snacks and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Immediately following, we will be holding lunch at the Tavern Hall and Hearth Room. We will have presentation of awards to the day’s top teams and sponsors and basket raffle drawings.

Registration

$500 – includes your fees/carts and lunch for 1 team (4 players)

Add-ons:

$100 – 2 mulligans per golfer and 1 tee-power up per golfer

BONUS – POWER UP PACKAGE FOR THE TEAM

What your support means!

For many students, the meals at school are the only meals they may eat. Many return to school on Monday morning sick, tired, dizzy and unable to focus because of hunger. This is no way to be prepared to learn. The Mountain Lion Backpack Program is not just a feeding program, it is an educational program as well.

The Mountain Lion Backpack Program (MLBP) is “Equipping students to be physically and mentally prepared to learn.” The MLBP Program feeds an average of 1,000 Altoona Area Elementary school children every week. The program is part of the national Feeding America Network Backpack Program.

Blair County Community Action Mountain Lion Backpack Program (MLBP) is a non-profit organization that feeds an average of 1,000 Altoona Area School District children every week.                                                                           

Our 1st “Drive Out Hunger” Golf Tournament will take place on July 17, 2023 at the Park Hills Golf Club in Altoona, PA.  This is our signature fundraising event and our goal this year is to raise $30,000. We cannot meet our goal without the help of businesses like yours.

Platinum Sponsor

$2,000 – includes your logo on signs, shirts, golf balls, and fees/carts and lunch for 1 team

Gold Sponsor

$1,000 – includes your logo on signs, golf balls, and fees/carts and lunch for 1 team

$100 – includes your logo on an Event Tee Sign

We are also seeking larger sponsor opportunities including: Lunch Sponsor and Swag Bag Sponsor 

By sponsoring, you will also be listed in our event program.  At your request, additional advertising materials such as coupons and flyers may be included in the swag bags distributed to our golfers on the day of the event.
